Our First Blog Entry

January 12, 2022

Welcome to our blog! With the new year having just kicked off, we thought "what a better time to start a blog?!"  Here you will find fun, wholesome, and informational updates about Roaring Acres.

Our main topic for today's post: Christmas trees! As you may have seen on our Facebook page, we accept Christmas trees in their natural state to feed as a snack to our animals. By natural state, we mean trees that have not been treated with any chemicals such as fake snow/sprays, fake scents, fire retardants, hairsprays, etc. as they can be harmful when ingested. Many farm animals love eating the needles and using the trees as scratching posts! We will be collecting trees for another couple of weeks - as long as the trees aren't dead the alpacas will eat them :)

To drop off at Roaring Acres, pull down our boutique driveway and look for the pile on the right hand side of the parking lot. If you're not local, call your local farms to see if they will take trees in their natural state!

That's all for now, but if you're interested in more alpaca content, follow us on Facebook and Instagram @roaringacresalpacas!
