About Us

Roaring Acres Alpacas is a woman-owned farm located in Suffield, CT. Though the business began as a small hobby farm with only alpacas and chickens, it has grown into a destination that has become home to several animal species, including, but not limited to, alpacas, llamas, mini donkeys, highland cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, goats, and ducks. Roaring Acres is also proud to be the home of Jake's Bees, allowing us to offer local raw honey on a seasonal basis.
In the midst of COVID-19, we decided to open our farm to the public as a means of providing an outdoor activity that could be safe to enjoy. Since then, we have scaled our farm and offer a variety of seasonal events (Santa Claus at Roaring Acres, Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny, and more), field trips and private events, educational activities for groups, and have opened a fiber mill with the goal of creating luxurious fiber products for our customers.
